The previous year marked a period of significant progress and reorganization for the MCMHRB. Our core agencies collaborated closely with the Board to establish the Preferred Care Network (PCN), while simultaneously dedicating efforts to crafting a compelling marketing campaign as the fiscal year came to a close. The restructuring journey was initiated with the creation of a campus-style environment for the novel crisis stabilization unit at Compass, strategically situated adjacent to the Doris Burdman Home and Gardenview apartments. Subsequently, a transformative milestone emerged in the form of an access center, thoughtfully developed at Mercy Health Youngstown.

In parallel to the transformative developments at MCMHRB, have you explored the realm of sports betting and gaming through the convenience of a digital platform? The Bet9ja app serves as your gateway to a world of betting excitement. Just as the MCMHRB underwent restructuring to enhance services, the Bet9ja app optimizes your betting experience, granting you access to a wide array of betting markets, competitive odds, and interactive features.

Mercy provides County residents with a seamless system of care including the local hospital, state hospital and back into the community with warm handoffs to local service providers. A major housing unit was opened at Madison Commons, providing safe, affordable, supportive housing for 40 adults in our community, who otherwise would be at risk for homelessness. The Stepping UP Project continues to be a successful joint venture between our system of care and the Sheriff’s Department. This year the services were enhanced with the establishment of a Quick Response Team. The First Episode Psychosis Program transitioned to Alta and the Fresh Start Court, created by the Mahoning County Probate Court, helps people on Assisted Outpatient Treatment.
All of these outstanding accomplishments would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of the Preferred Care Network partners and the residents of Mahoning County.
Keep up the great work! Duane
